To The Dads in My Life

Image
It's a day to celebrate Fathers, and the place they hold in our lives. . . fathers here and gone My father, very much here, with my sons He's blessed with great curiosity, wisdom, a lively mind, still-quick-reflexes, and the gift of grandchildren  and great grandchildren to enjoy. There's the father of my sons. . .  blessed with a zest for adventure, a love of sports, and the ability to turn the "game" of golf into a quest for perfection. My daughter's father, Jon -- brilliant, caring, musical, a great conceptual thinker There's my elder son, great, systematic problem solver, patient teacher, fabulous husband, tender, loving father. . . . and there are fathers that have gone before, blazing a trail, leaving their genetic material as a DNA ladder for us to climb   My mother's father, with his bride  Lela Emmoline Lile (my mother's mother)
