Favorite Photo Friday: Stone Circle

Looking through my stash of photos,
I found this one

"Stones at Carrowmore" © 2007 Meri Arnett-Kremian

a favorite because it shows the stone circle
at Carrowmore, a sacred place
in the landscape of Ireland,
a place where the veil is thin
and Spirit is palpably ever-present.

Taken with a Nikon D200
f/8
shutter speed 1/250th of a second
ISO 100 - no flash
max aperture 4.8
focal length 90 mm

This reminds me at Marko Pogacnik, he wrote a lot books about geomancy. His aim is to heal the earth at special points of it. I know him from workshops, everybody can learn to become sensitive to such places, but it need not only to be special places as this one, one can find them everywhere in nature.
nice weekend!

Very interesting and beautiful photo. I like the colors. I have never heard of this place, I will have to put it on my "to see someday" list. Thank you for sharing.

I really like the sky in that shot. combination of the thin high clouds with the lower fast moving grey ones always creates a neat -moving- photo.

I wonder if it was a bit windy - my eyes are not what they used to be - and with the slow 1/250 shutter speed - does that allow for a bit of blur from the wind? As I said - my eyes are not so hot anymore - so I could easily be mistaken.

I like the combination of colors yellow, blue, green and grey - so beautiful to see in nature!

Thanks for participating in Favorite Photo Friday. You add a nice touch!
