Theme Thursday: Wheel

Wheel.

Of life. Don't reinvent them.
On the bus go round and round.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Wheels up. Touch and go.
Rutted tracks along the Oregon Trail.
Wheelbarrows. Tricycles. Skateboards.
Wheel of Fortune. Why are you buying a vowel?
Losing control.
Steer out of a skid.
Fishtailing. Fish tales.

The wheel keeps turning. . . . .

Wonderful photo and great imperfect prose. The Morman trail went through Iowa but I don't think the Oregon trail even started in our area, it was further west. It is all interesting history for me.

I like the playful nature of this poem. My mind thinks like that but I have never captured it in words. But, then again, I am only recently returning to writing poetry. Your photo and your poetry are an inspiration. I am looking forward to your posts in my daily feed!

This was a cute poem! I just read to my colleagues sitting around the table with me. I especially like why are you buying a vowel? :)

This is fun!
I think you covered mostly everything wheelish. I liked the wheel of fortune part too.

I'll take the 'imperfect' prose, anyday...
