Mosaic Monday: Spring Openings

Image
Mosaic Monday Though today is damp and rainy, I can see the lilac in bloom outside the guest room window. Some of the camellias are still in bloom and the peonies planted up against the south side of the house are in bud. Aquilegias and violets are naturalizing in the side yard garden and make a pretty sight -- a nice contrast to the hostas that are shaded by my neighbor's laurel hedge. I love the opening energy of spring!

Mosaic Monday: Dreaming of Spring

Image
After several days of intermittent snowfall and periods of temps in the teens and 20s, icy sidewalks and traffic inconveniences, it's finally warmed up into the thirties. I knew when I first roused this morning, because I could hear the raindrops drumming against the skylight in my bathroom. So I fed the hungry felines, then cozied back up in my comfy bed and willed myself to dream spring into being. I'm not very good at playing Mother Nature, just taking pictures of her handiwork in my garden once she's done her job. Visit Mary and the other players at  Mosaic Monday .
