Celebrate the Virgin - Day 9

Workshop Virgin and Child

His small arm broken
Her brown eyes filled with sadness
Mary's broken heart

Celebrate the Virgin in her many forms and guises
By joining with Rebecca and her tribe
and perhaps trying your hand at haiku.

Makes me want to get out my restoring supplies and make them whole again. Even though in a way they are touching as they are.

Your words tell us a story and we fill in the blanks. Mary watching over her child, as it should be.

Peace

Perfect as they are or as a project. Is that a piece of bottle cap art I see peeking out of the corner?

Oh Meri I love this. She expresses the sadness we all fill when our beloved child is hurt.
QMM
It is very moving, the thought of watching over a wounded child and this being a precursor to what would happen to him later on. She does look sad. Even when children are small, we recall the little fears we had that they might not be whole in so many different ways. There is a little bit of her in all of us surely.
xo,
Noelle
Her eyes seem to be seeing beyond the present moment to a time when...

oh meri...i absolutely love this haiku!
Oh, dear, but she loves him all the same. I have one nativity I put up each year without Joseph as he broke years ago. The Mary in that set is a single parent.
