My World Monday

Image
Back from Hawaii to the chill and gloom. But I did find a little color to capture with my lens while I was there. It always amazes me how quickly sunsets happen. As you can see, we were there during "swells," which meant no swimming on many beaches, but provided lots of opportunities for experienced surfers. I'm a goner for color and decay, so this grabbed my attention. What's going on in your world?

True Words Tuesday: Thoughts

"Prisoner of Her Thoughts" - created on Polyvore.com by MeriMagic  Life does not consist mainly -- or even largely -- of facts and happenings. It consists mainly of the storm of thoughts that are forever blowing through one's mind. **Mark Twain**

Postcards from Paradise

Image
For today's Postcards from Paradise I thought I'd take a wander through things I've seen  close to home that I captured with the Android cam. I drive my friends nuts because my phone's usually off and I hate texting. But it's a handy dandy thing to have a device that is small, discreet, and picture-snapping. Sometimes the big camera  is just to heavy to lug around.

52 Photos Project: Fade Away

Image
The theme for the 52 Photos Project is "fade away." So many times, we've become trapped in the prison of our fears. We think we can't accomplish something, that nothing ever works out, that everyone else has all the luck. We think idle thoughts that don't serve us, instead of choosing to be more selective. Once we become conscious of our thoughts and how they shape our reality, influence how we show up in the world and make an impact, we can choose differently. We can catch ourselves thinking an unhelpful thought, then release it. Let it fade away. And choose to think thoughts that better serve us. Good-bye fears. I'm bringing a better thought life into sharp focus.
